This is the first and probably last thing I will write regarding the 2016 election. But I think it's important enough to voice my opinion.
we all have the opportunity to vote for an elected official based on what we believe.
As for Christians, voting is BIBLICAL. We are Biblically commanded to vote and pray for our leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says,
"I urge, then first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
We live in the United States of America where we are blessed to freely speak about our leaders without fear of being oppressed or persecuted. Christians in other countries suffer under governments where Christians have no voice and have no power to change the government. They preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the risk of their own lives! We are blessed to live in a country where we CAN vote for whoever God leads us to vote for, through prayer and study of Scripture.
God knows what is to come, NOTHING is a surprise to Him and He most definitely has the power to work through any person or situation.
