UO lab has ended! Which means my Summer in Blacksburg has come to an end..but don't fret! I'll be back in bburg in a couple weeks to start my final Fall semester! But until then, this is a compilation of being in and out of the lab!
We had bible study outside one night at probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. And it's literally 3 minutes from where I live. This was the only picture I got, but in no way does it do it justice.
Over the course of several weeks, we talked a lot about living missionally. Especially in a broken world.
When the power goes out and you have to finish your paper, Panera is always the solution (dinner AND wifi!)
That sticker life though.
Quick trips home. When you're homesick and you need to pick up some business professional clothes because adulting is coming after you, whether you're ready for it or not.
Adulting can wait. I'll be over here, making faces with my food.
You can find me cozy on my couch, nuzzled with a blanket, a cup of tea, a book and my journal.
One of my favorite things to do: write. I love journaling, talking to Jesus and writing down my prayers. Sometimes I'll highlight my prayers and it's cool to go back and see how God answered them.
This is a little glimpse of the start of my 1-second video a day. One of my friends did this for her whole senior year and I've been doing it for a couple weeks now! We'll see how it turns out at the end of my SENIOR year!
Ash came for the weekend! We went to Steppin' Out in downtown Blacksburg. It's this huge fair type festival where local artists and restaurants set up and sell things, usually at a discounted price from what they normally sell for.
Ash is ready for class! 2 weeks early...
We bought these 2 prints hehe. If you know us, you can probably guess which one I got and which one she got.
Back in the lab to do our last experiment: Emulsion Polymerization.
The final poster!
I'm 90% certain I spent more time in this room than I did in my own room over the past 6 weeks. Randolph 221, you will be missed.
Final poster presentation! I wore heels and they all still towered over me...
Then the fun came...
Who doesn't want a picture of you making cupcakes with the police in the background? Goals.
Can't let them leave without giving them some cupcakes and taking a picture with them!
The Periodic Table of CUPCAKES! So good, their illegal! Note: green sprinkles were used to denote the radioactive elements.
UO lab picnic time! Burgers, chicken, mac & cheese, buffalo chicken dip and cupcakes. What else could you ask for?!
And when you make the periodic table of CUPCAKES, you eat the one with your initials (even if it is arsenic...)
And this marks the end of UO lab! Honestly, it wasn't as hard as people made it out to be. Don't get me wrong, of the 6 weeks, my group didn't meet only 3 of those days, including weekends. But because you're working with a group, it doesn't seem as bad. And the more time you put into it, the more you'll get out of it (and the higher your grade will be) :)
xo, Adrienne
