When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
Isaiah 43:2
Jesus calls us the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). We are called to experience God's love even in the midst of uncertainty. But even when it directly states it in the Bible that God will never leave us, we still have anxiety and little faith (being a Christian is hard!). The future is always an uncertainty. We can keep and agenda and plan as much as we want but God's plans will always trump ours. And that's because God is greater. His plans are for the good of Him and for the good of us. It's just a matter of fact of, do we truly trust Him?
I pray that you and I are able to live for God right now. That we trust that God's plans are greater than our own. And that we trust and believe God's promise for the future.
